Fulham is the oldest of London’s first class clubs and its long history began back in 1879 when a group of Sunday School boys got together to knock a ball around on a long-forgotten park pitch. All a far cry from the Premiership Fulham side of today. As the tenth anniversary of Mohamed Al Fayed’s ownership of Fulham Football Club is celebrated this year, the Chairman has reiterated his commitment to the Club and revealed that significant funds will be made available to new Manager Lawrie Sanchez this summer.

Since taking control of the Club in 1997, the Chairman has guided Fulham from the football abyss to a permanent standing amongst the elite clubs of the English Premier League, having invested close to 200m of his own personal fortune to date. Experienced Premiership stars joined and unprecedented money was invested to enable the dream of playing alongside football’s elite become a reality.

Now about to enjoy its seventh successive season in the Premiership, not only has the Club progressed on the pitch, but commercially off the pitch as well. Fulham Football Club has recently announced a new three-year main team sponsorship deal with LG Electronics, the most significant sponsorship agreement in the Club’s history, along with a four-year kit supply deal with Nike – Fulham’s biggest ever kit supply agreement – deals which certainly reflect the continued ambition of Fulham Football Club.
