FUND ACCOUNTANT
CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITIES
To undertake responsibility for a portfolio of the Company`s clients
To assist with training and support of junior staff
To promote and support the aims of the Company
To develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients and colleagues
To co-operate with colleagues to promote an open and supportive environment
To carry out his/her duties in a careful and professional manner
OBJECTIVE & ROLE
In addition to undertaking the production of accounts the Fund Accountant will be expected to support the Senior Fund Accountant and the Client Director - Accounting on an ongoing basis to ensure the efficiency of the Company is maintained. More specifically, to prepare accounts and other related accounting activities driven by client needs and to oversee and review the work produced by the trainee accountants.
DUTIES
These will include, but not be limited to the following listed tasks: Key Responsibilities
Assist with the training, coaching and development of staff.
Promote excellent ongoing relationships with clients of the Company.
Build effective relationships between individual team members.
Motivate and empower trainee accountants by building their capabilities.
Manage workloads to ensure that the Company`s required minimum charge ability is maintained
Communicate any issues of concern to the Client Director - Accounting
Understand and interpret the Fund`s documentation, the GFSC regulations, the Protection of Investors law and anti-money laundering regulations
Production of Management, Interim and Audited Accounts
Produce management, interim and audited accounts
Control and monitor the bookkeeping process and take ownership of the ledgers
Prepare carried interest and other calculations in accordance with the fund documentation
Calculate and monitor capital adequacy of licensed entities in accordance with regulations
