An excellent opportunity has arisen at Norbert Dentressangle Transport Services for a Contract Supervisor to join our team at Motherwell, based on our customer site in Glenrothes.
As a key member of the Contracts team, the purpose of the role is to manage and co-ordinate the day Network Depots in liasing directly with customers to ensure that deliveries are completed 'on time' and 'in full'.
You will ensure robust internal and external reporting is conducted and also offer support in ensuring all company standards and policies are adhered to.
Main accountabilities to include but not be limited to:
Providing excellent customer service, offering information and responses in a professional and timely manner, conducting root cause analysis on failures and raising corrective actions.
Ensuring that on a daily / weekly basis preventative actions are implemented for delivery issues that occur, ensuring all corrective actions are communicated with relevant parties and that these actions are then executed.
Managing, reporting and agreeing KPIs with the customer.
Ensuring continuous improvement of service is offered and actioned.
Managing & Planning the customers' full load & direct load requirements via the ND network and our pool of authorised sub contractors, ensuring delivery windows are achieved and each load is profitable.
Understaing and demonstrating the ability to use behaviours to influence how the customer feels.
It is essential that the customer feels valued and feel that we take their business seriously.
Conducting appropriately timed review meetings with the customer.
Administration: duties such as processing claims, POD reporting and issue logs.
The successful candidate will have:
Experience in General Warehousing or the UK transport industry, working within a transport environment or customer service role.
Previous experience of working on a customer's site would be preferable but not essential.
Demonstrable experience of customer service with excellent customer facing skills, and the ablility to work in a professional manner.
Knowledge and experience of compiling and actioning report KPI's.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Competence using MS Office, Intermediate Excel user (Pivot Tables, graphs etc.),
The ability to work well under pressure, working to tight deadlines and have a clear commercial understanding.
