Laboratory Manager - Lincolnshire - Food/Environmental Microbiology
My client is an established laboratory operating from several locations within the UK and throughout Europe. They are looking to expand the team in Lincolnshire with a Laboratory Manager. This is a great opportunity to further your career within a successful company specialising in food, water and environmental services.
The ideal Laboratory Manager will hold a degree in Microbiology, or a relevant discipline, and have at least 5 years practical laboratory experience in a line management role. You will have people management experience and be able to demonstrate strong technical knowledge, ideally gained within the food industry. You will be familiar with working in a Microbiology environment using a variety of complex laboratory equipment and processes.
The Laboratory Manager role will involve managing a team of up to 50 people, working on more than one activity at a time. You will be required to meet the demands of the business through effective training, recruitment and regular appraisal and objective setting. Other duties will include financial planning, performing non-routine analytical work and solving technical problems.
