This position is responsible for performing quality evaluations on standard and routine processes and products according to engineering drawings, specifications, prescribed methods, and instructions.
Identifies and reports non-conformance to known standards using various measuring and testing methods, notifies operations and Quality Assurance/Quality Control management of significant problems, completes documentation necessary to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection or test activities.
Main dutiesSupport compliance with company Health and Safety management system and PPR objectives and development requirements
The completion of the production routers for inspection operations, as these confirm the components conformance to requirements.
Inspect prototype parts, experimental tools and malfunctioning parts to assist Engineering personnel as requested.
Supports the activities of Improvement teams and project teams as required.
Training
Training in the use of precision tools, gauges, CMM, shadowgraph, inspection fixtures testing equipment etc, in-process finished or purchased items for dimensions thread profiles finishes, damage hardness etc.
Additional Requirements: Basic understanding of engineering practices preferred
Ability to interpret engineering drawings preferred
Experience in the use of measuring equipment preferred
Knowledge/Skills: Liaise with personnel at all levelsGood written and communication skills
Computer literate
The ideal candidate will come from an engineering background with experience in manufacturing in a CNC Machining environment.
