Due to significant business growth our client currently have an opportunity for an Embedded Development Engineer.
The role has been designed to support product realisation of compact, test and measurement equipment for testing IP/DVB-C/DVB-S/DVB-S2/DVB-T Audio Visual products.
The Role:
Initial responsibilities will be for developing Linux device drivers for the company's specific hardware interfaces, and interfacing these to our software programs, operating on ARM based SoC platforms.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in Linux, Open Source and or BSP packages;
- Experience in C/C++ ;
- Experience in TCP/IP;
- Experience in Serial protocols: USB/I2C/SPI;
- Knowledge of using debugging tools (Arm based debugging would be preferred).
The following skills would also be advantageous:
- Experience of MPEG/H264 CODEC's;
- Linux kernel development;
- Any Analog/Digital hardware design skills.
