1st/2nd Line Technical Support Engineer, Bracknell, £35k

My client, a well-known provider of solutions for VOIP applications are currently looking to expand their team in the UK, with an experienced Telephone Support Engineer. You will come from an IT background and have a proven track record of providing technical telephone support to contact centers around the UK.
As a Telephone Support Engineer, you will provide 1st and 2nd level technical support, troubleshooting customer questions and issues regarding product installations, everyday use, and configuration. You will have excellent communications skills and need to know how to speak technically to Engineering staff and non-technically to customers. Log calls, resolve problems independently and as a team player to manage problem resolution from start to finish and document support information. For more complex technical issues, you will then gather information which will later be escalated to Tier 3 Level Support.
To be considered for this position, you will need to have :
*Technical Support experience with Call Centre technologies and/or VoIP network infrastructures
*Experience with VoIP and Call Centre technologies - Installation, configuration or troubleshooting experience with any of the following telephony products and applications: Avaya, Cisco, Nortel, Genesys, contact center applications, IVR, ACD, CTI, call monitoring, call accounting software, PBX call control, unified voicemail/email messaging, or multi-site VoIP networking.
*Basic knowledge of SQL database functions, i.e. scripting
*Web application experience (HTML, XML, .NET, Java, VB, databases, Web Technologies)
*Proficient in networking and security concepts, i.e. network monitor and analysis.
*Knowledge of basic PSTN telephony as used in an IVR environment. (ISDN, PRI, T-1, analog)
*Proficient Microsoft Windows server skills - Microsoft systems performance monitoring
