Stepstone, a leading provider of talent management software, is seeking a 3rd Line Support Analysis with strong experience working with JavaScript, HTML and other Microsoft web applications to join our Core Development Team, working on our suite of Human Resources (HR) This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical individual with a passion for Software Development and strong communication/customer skills. To provide Development level support to the growing Customer Support Team to ensure that SLA's are adhered to. The post holder will report into the Core Development Manager and sits within the Solutions Development function. This is a 3 month Contract role based in Luton
Responsibilities
- Level support to the Customer Support Team.
- Recording all resolution information in the Support Desk logging system and ensuring that the Customer Support Executive understands the resolution
- Creating technical knowledge base documents Identifying common problems (hotspots) and escalating proposed solutions to management
- Diagnosing bugs in the application
- Estimating effort required and coding fixes to bugs in the application
- Participating in the Patch Release process for the application
- Recommending to Management improvements to process and technical environment resulting in closer adherence to SLAs and improved ability of 1support to deal with issues without escalation
Requirements & The Individual Excellent Communication Skills Outstanding troubleshooting and problem solving skills Experience using ASP, ASP.net, HTML, XML / XSL and JavaScript Experience with SQL, preferably on a SQL Server platform Solid understanding of Microsoft platforms and web applications Knowledge of ODBC & VB would be a plus Able to work on multiple projects at any given time Previous involvement in the full product lifecycle from concept to release, preferably for a software product vendor Experience of working with source code control application and lifecycle management systems would be a plus Technical Support experience is a plus University degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, or electrical engineering is a plus
