ACCOUNT MANAGER – Energy / Utilities /CRC Sector.
£30k basic (negotiable) + car or car allowance.
Lancashire location.

Outline
Our client is a fast growing developer of energy management solutions and services who deal with a wide portfolio of large blue chip organisations. Currently seeking to expand their account management team to deal with new legislation and company growth. The candidate will ideally have previous client facing, true strategic account management experience within the Energy/Utilities/CRC sector or similar sector dealing long term service contracts and national multi-site clients. They will have an analytical approach to the problems and information with which they will be faced with and be a personable individual who clients will enjoy liaising with on a day to day basis. Key duties revolve around meeting with clients, managing the clients expectations, promoting the portfolio of consultancy services, retaining and growing client accounts, educating clients, spotting business opportunities and working towards service level agreements (SLA’s). This organisation is extremely forward thinking and such the individual must be able to change and adapt as the business grows to meet client’s needs and business expectations.
Key Skills
- Energy/Utilities/Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) industry background preferred, however not essential
- May suit relevant true account management experience in Waste Management, Facilities Management or similar sector if the person is a strategic and polished account manager.
- Proven experience in a high level B2B account management role (will NOT suit new business sales experience)
- Experience of dealing with and running national multi-site clients
- Experience of managing consultancy, service or solution (not products) based contracts
- Experience at interfacing with customers at director and senior board level
- Demonstrable track record in dealing with major blue chip companies
- Basic understanding of current climate change issues and carbon topics
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in the full use of the Microsoft Office Suite
Responsibilities:
- Initial consultations with blue chip customers
- Ongoing client interface – acting as liaison between our business and the customers
- Proficient understanding of the governments new Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) (training will be provided where necessary)
- Setting and maintaining customer SLA’s
- Working to KPI’s
- Ancillary sales
- Ongoing training and development
- Managing allotted customer accounts
- Direct reporting to senior management
- Travel UK wide
- Monitoring and reporting on the clients existing portfolio
- Developing the business offering in the carbon sector
- Planning and forward forecasting for customers
