The Company:
Our client are one of the UK’s leading supermarket retailers who are opening new stores. Their commitment to serving the local community means that they are constantly offering fantastic products, at great value, through expert people. They are currently looking for a driven Area Manager to join the team.
Job Role - Area Manager:
- Responsible for the operation of an area of approx 15 supermarket stores
- To ensure the unique management of each site’s individual KPIs - including community involvement
- To formulate, a business and trading plan for each store
- Responsibility for achieving the highest level of profit using the most economic, efficient and practical means.
- Ensuring the highest possible standards are obtained and sustained in respect of people, premises and customer service.
- To ensure each store is managed within the appropriate policies and procedures
Key Attributes - Area Manager:
- Food retail management experience, ideally at a multi-site level, although single site experience from large superstores will be considered
- Strong communication / customer service / organisational skills
- Profit and Loss management.
- People development skills
- Excellent track record of achievement: maximising sales and achieving / surpassing targets
