An Oxford-based medical communications agency that is part of a major worldwide advertising & communications group is looking for an Account Director to oversee its burgeoning business. This is a key role whereby you will be expected to take ultimate responsibility for overall client service and financial delivery, identifying opportunities to increase the level of business from existing clients.
The core responsibility is to lead and develop the internal account handling team, providing guidance, mentoring and support on strategy and project issues. You will be responsible for ensuring that each account is adequately resourced to ensure maximum client deliver, whilst ensuring profitability. Naturally you will be expected to develop new business proposals, and to participate in pitches.
You will require a life-science degree, and an excellent background in account handling within a medical communications environment. This is a senior position and therefore you will be able to demonstrate a high degree of management experience.
