Account Executive

Offices based in Nottinghamshire, Birmingham and Warwickshire

Salary c£20,000 plus benefits including - Pension, Life assurance, Medical cover, Dental cover, Sick pay extension, Critical illness, Partners life assurance and Health screen

The Company:

This company are a Financial Services Company, established in 1984. Dealing with Pensions, Insurance and Executive Solutions

The Role:

To understand new and existing Client's business and their approach to insurance and risk management and to design and administer insurance solutions for the protection of their material assets and liabilities.

To seek new business in line with company objectives and personal targets as defined within Sales and Individual Plans. To maintain, and achieve growth in, income from existing clients.

To carry out `Client Relationship Management' (CRM) including visits for existing client and agreeing timelines in advance. To collate information and carry out administration of allocated Client's insurance programmes in a timely, technically accurate and cost effective manner, in accordance with company procedures and performance standards.

Ensure collection of premiums from clients is carried out in accordance with Company procedures.

Principle Objectives and Responsibilities including the following, other objectives may be assigned:

To understand client's business operations, opportunities and risks and their approach to risk management and insurance.

Obtain and communicate sufficient information to demonstrate an understanding of the risk and to support the braking process in accordance with company procedures.

Offer and present insurance solutions including insurance policies and other risk management solutions, with purpose to secure renewal andlor new business.

To expand existing client portfolio to include additional covers and to produce new business leads for the safes team.

Plan client meetings in advance to meet with company procedures.

Send Client communications including meeting agenda, notes and reports in a timely manner always ensuring their accuracy.

Manage own files as per local procedures.

Confining advice and information to those areas in which you are deemed competent, otherwise seeking advice as appropriate.


To assist in ensuring that all post and diary activity is completed daily in accordance with the local procedure and performance standards.

Always demonstrating the professionalism of our organisation, when visiting clients and in all communications.

To maintain effective control in respect of allocated clients in line with Company procedures.

To assist in team performance by regular communication with colleagues and manager to establish and raise concerns and provide solutions

To ensure compliance with local procedures, customer service standards and external compliance regulations, e.g. FSA

To undertake training in line with agreed objectives and keep up-to-date with technical, legal and market developments via use of e-learning, internal and external training and reading market related material.

To conduct the business of the Company at all times in a courteous and efficient manner.

To manage and develop the staff members that you are asked to supervise, overseeing quality of their work and supporting/coaching with any technical and market information.

To ensure that all ongoing at desk coaching is logged for both the job holder and staff members who they are supervising in accordance with training & competency requirements.

The Successful Candidate will have experience of general insurance principles and practice.
Class of risk and product knowledge within legal, claims and general.
An excellent client relationship manner with good communications skills.
