Account Manager
UK based, Head Office in Portsmouth
£30-35k (flex), car allowance @ £500 per month and bonuses, 20 days holiday rising to 25 after 5 years, bupa, contributory pension
Experience within IT solutions/EPOS/Account Management/Business Development/dealing with Resellers or Partners preferred.
Our client is looking for a Reseller Manager who will be responsible for the relationship between them and the resellers that they sell their IT Solution (EPOS) products through.
Predominantly your role with be account manager, resolution of issues and relationship development. However, you will also be expected to grow the business both through existing customers and new business.
This is a new role for an expanding company who have recognise the need for this role so there is every opportunity to make this role your own.
Job Specification
Job Title: Sales Executive
Summary:
The Sales Executive is responsible for gaining sales of our clients' hardware, software and associated services. Any such sale must be good business i.e. meet the companies revenue and profit objectives as well as providing customer satisfaction and enhancing the profile of our client. The Sales Executive will be required to sell to and perform an Account Manager role with existing resellers as well as search for new resellers that meet our client's reseller profile.
Accountability
1.1 Reports to the Managing Director.
Responsibilities
2.1 To set up and manage a database to facilitate the canvassing of prospective
customers within the target territory.
2.2 To manage the sale and delivery of products to new and existing customers within the target territory.
2.3 To promote the image of its products in order to enhance the name and reputation of the company.
2.4 To act in a professional and responsible manner toward customers, colleagues and managers
2.5 To adhere to any stated company policy and procedure
2.6 To ensure at all times to foster the highest level of customer care
2.7 To provide input into the company’s tactical and strategic planning process
Duties
3.1 To achieve set business targets
3.2 To prepare a monthly sales report detailing activity and forecast
3.3 To have a detailed and thorough knowledge of our client and associated products relevant to the territory
3.4 To have a detailed and thorough knowledge of the information technology and retail market particularly where it pertains to customers.
3.5 To have a detailed and thorough knowledge of our client's chosen vertical markets
3.6 To have a detailed and thorough knowledge of the benefits to customers of using our client's and associated products
3.7 To have a detailed and thorough knowledge of the professional sales process and how to apply this in a business to business framework.
3.8 To act as Account Manager for existing resellers in the EPOS market.
3.9 To visit and maintain regular contact with existing resellers.
3.10 To establish new resellers matching reseller criteria.
4. Supervision
4.1 Must be self-motivated, adaptable and capable of exercising initiative and judgement
4.2 Must be able to work unsupervised and achieve job objectives. It is recognised that a certain element of experience from other members of staff may be requested.
