We currently seek an Account Representative in our Woking office.As part of the Inside Sales team you will be responsible for effectively building relationships with clients in order to coordinate the sales process and maximise revenue, as well as developing new business.The ideal candidate will be someone with sales experience or has a proven track record in a similar role and will welcome the opportunity to join a competitive environment.In return SPSS offers a dynamic, innovative-driven, friendly environment, multi-skilled and international colleagues and a market standard salary.


Responsibilities:

  • Through a consultative sales approach on the telephone, you will guide and help customers towards the correct and desired tools and services we offer.
  • In addition to dealing with incoming enquiries, you will be responsible for calling leads generated by Marketing and to proactively call into the customer base with the view to increasing sales revenue.
  • Responsibility to meet monthly and quarterly revenue objectives from the sale of SPSS software & services
  • Qualification of customer need using a predefined departmental sales methodology
  • Providing written quotations and marketing materials to meet and support customer requirements
  • As a result of incoming and outgoing sales activities, create and maintain customer contact information, lead and opportunities, within the SPSS Contact Management system.
  • Plan proactive activities and execute on it based on a territory plan
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasts
  • An ongoing requirement of the role will be to take on some responsibility for presenting at and assisting with Seminars and Exhibitions

The role demands:

  • Responsibility to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets from the sale of SPSS software and services via telephone, web and email enquiries as well as self driven business development
  • Maximize all opportunities to increase deal size and accelerate the buying process
  • Build a proactive business plan to develop new sales from personally driven sales campaigns
  • Forecast accurately, based on realistic opportunity assessments, and in line with internal forecasting guidelines
  • Provide written quotations, seminars, webinars and marketing materials to meet and support customer requirements
  • Excellent qualifying skills. To suit the fast pace of this business it is essential to qualify in and out quickly and diligently
  • Establish and maintain professional and external relationships that meet our core values

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • History of recent and consistent achievement against quota within the Technology sector -ideally between 3 and 5 years experience
  • Proven understanding and successful application of solution selling techniques, articulating the solution, business value and ROI.
  • Consistent track record for developing new business and managing a complete sales cycle from generating leads to closing deals
  • Proven understanding and successful application of solution selling techniques, articulating the solution business value and ROI.
  • Ability to sell to both business and IT audiences, and an understanding of the different approaches required
  • Ability to work within a cross-functional team, to include, but not limited to colleagues in technical and presales roles, marketing
  • Highly motivated professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Requirements include:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience.
  • A natural ability to interface with clients over the phone and provide a highly professional level of customer service.
  • Demonstrable sales experience, preferably in a high-tech/software environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • An understanding of statistics or predictive analytics software is an advantage
  • You are customer orientated, perseverant, result-driven, enthusiastic and full of drive
  • You are eager to learn and develop your skills
  • You are a good team player

Position Qualifications – Desirable

  • Good understanding of analytics solutions (e.g. predictive analytics, business intelligence, data mining, CRM analytics, consumer insight applications etc) and proven capability of presenting solutions to address customer problems
  • Familiar with Customer Centric Selling
  • Ideally hold a degree or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge and experience of salesforce.com preferred
