A fantastic opportunity exists for an Acoustic Consultant with previous experience of Section 61 applications for construction noise to join a thriving organization specializing in environmental noise and vibration monitoring for the construction industry. This organization is part of one of the largest international multidisciplinary consultancies and is offering a successful candidate the opportunity to work on some of the worlds largest and prestigious developments.
You will complement their team of environmental noise specialists in their office based in Nottingham
Salary: £17K- £25K dependent on experience
Qualifications
Qualified in a recognized technical discipline i.e. acoustics, noise control and or noise and vibration.
Institute of Acoustics Membership
Full Driving License
Experience
2 years+ Environmental Acoustic Consultancy experience
An in depth technical knowledge of environmental acoustics in particular section 61 applications
Skilled in sound insulation and measurement
Good communication and client liaison skills
The ability to manage workload and supervise others.
Commercially aware and team player
Duties
Vibration monitoring of structures (in accordance with BS5228 and BS7385)
Remote noise and vibration monitoring operated via modem
BS4142 noise assessments, applied to construction works near residential properties and proposed industrial developments
Monitoring noise and vibration levels
Section 61 noise predictions
Sound Insulation Testing
Human response to nuisance vibration in accordance with Vibration Dose Value guidelines in BS6472
The operation of various Sound Level Meters
Traveling across the UK
Projects
Workload predominantly consists of long term Construction Noise Assessments
