An exciting opportunity is currently available within a well established organization specializing in environmental noise and vibration monitoring for the construction industry. This organization is part of one of the largest international multidisciplinary consultancies and is offering the successful candidate the opportunity to work on some of the worlds largest and prestigious developments. They currently have a requirement for an Acoustic Consultant with a background in Environmental noise and vibration with particular expertise in Section 61 applications o join their thriving team in Glasgow
Salary: £17K- £25K dependent on experience
Qualifications
Qualified in a recognized technical discipline i.e. acoustics, noise control and or noise and vibration.
Institute of Acoustics Membership
Full Driving License
Experience
2 years+ Environmental Acoustic Consultancy experience
An in depth technical knowledge of environmental acoustics in particular section 61 applications
Skilled in sound insulation and measurement
Good communication and client liaison skills
The ability to manage workload and supervise others.
Commercially aware and team player
Duties
Provide advice and research to local authorities, central government and others
Write high quality technical documents
Liaise with clients, respond to enquiries and develop the business within the acoustics sector
Noise and Vibration monitoring of construction noise
Noise mapping
Environmental Monitoring
Structural Monitoring
Conduct Pre-completion and Sound Insulation testing
Noise measurement, assessment and planning
provide adequate levels of noise protection
Projects
Workload predominantly consists of longterm Construction Noise Assessments
