Proven Advertising Manager required for hugely successful South Yorkshire based retail business to plan and deliver market leading advertising campaigns.

As a key component of the senior team you will be required to plan and deliver innovative and market leading advertising campaigns that both strengthen the brand and resonate with consumers. With decisions on media solely driven by numerics you must be an expert in successfully collating and using complex customer data to plan measurable multi-channel campaigns.

This will involve:-

  • Full responsibility for the planning and execution of the media strategy across all advertising channels.
  • Using detailed econometric models to track and analyse activity, performance and impact of media to ensure maximum ROI.
  • Maximising collaboration with both marketing colleagues and other business units to foster best practice and innovation.
  • Management of all promotional and in-store activities to drive both footfall and revenue targets
  • Inspiring and motivating a successful team

The past few years have seen a significant step-change in consumer leisure activity with the countryside now more accessible and popular than ever. This has led to traditional trips abroad increasingly being replaced with people opting for a “staycation” and the marketplace for fitness and outdoor pursuits growing almost exponentially.

For over 25 years Go Outdoors has built a unique brand within this marketplace. An unrivalled product portfolio encompassing every element of outdoor life; has helped them to continually strengthen their position within the retail arena. Growth has gone from a single store to currently 18 stores nationwide with a goal of a 30 store portfolio by the end of 2010.

This heritage has been built around value for money, industry expertise, customer service and a passion for the outdoor life and means that they can proudly boast both a loyal and expanding customer base. As a result of this they are now looking to continue this success with 2 key appointments within their marketing team.
