Summary:
Located in the Chester Head Office, reporting to
the Sales Manager, the Advertising Sales Account Manager will be responsible
for creating a well qualified pipeline of prospective opportunities, reporting accurate sales projections
on the way to negotiating and closing profitable business. This role
is to strengthen the already strong position of our highly successful products.
It is expected that this position will present
himself/herself as the face of our products while always holding themselves to the highest standards
personally and professionally.
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive advertising sales revenue
and meet all sales targets.
- Develop new business through
efficient and planned prospecting.
- Manage, renew and grow existing
client revenue where applicable.
- Devise promotional strategies
aimed at increasing revenue.
- Effectively analyse and
identify client needs and growth opportunities.
- Prepare and customise strategic
and comprehensive, need-based, solution-oriented campaign proposals for clients.
- Manage and oversee contractual
process.
- Schedule face to face meetings
with sales prospects when justifiable.
- Communicate with Management to
ensure accurate picture of position at any given time.
- Ensure that the database is constantly updated and accurate.
- Gather pertinent detailed
market information and feed to editorial team.
- Attend key Industry Exhibitions
and Trade Shows.
- Achieve a minimum of 50 calls
per day or 2 hours phone-time.
- Ensure all Copy Deadlines met.
- Monitor Competitor media.
- Maintain excellent customer service.
- Manage all sales administration
inc proof reading all advertising copy prior to production.
- Ensure Prospect/Figures
spreadsheets are up-to-date.
- Ensure Results board is
up-to-date.
- Attend Product, Team, Editorial
and 1-2-1 meetings.
- Ensure accounts receive all
relevant information for invoicing purposes.
- Complete other duties and projects as assigned by management.
- Consistently exceed client and
company expectations.

- Customer
focused individual with a min of two years media/advertising sales
experience.
- Documented
history of professional and academic over-achievement.
- Strong
work ethic, positive attitude and desire to measurably impact results.
- Excellent written and verbal
communications/presentation/reporting skills.
- Understanding
of the print advertising sales marketplace.
- IT skills - Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Web
Research, Database Packages.
- Passionate about sales and a belief in the value of
advertising.
- Team
player with ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced and exciting
environment.
