The Whitgift Foundation is a local charity based in Croydon which supports the Carers Information Service. The Carers’ Information Service provides free information, advice and support to carers in the Croydon area, who are looking after a relative, partner or friend with an illness or disability. This support will be provided via telephone, email, face to face in our office base in Croydon as well as at community events and venues.
We are looking for a part-time Advice Worker / Information Advisor to complement our small and professional team.
This role will involve providing casework style support to carers requiring assistance with issues such as housing, equipment and social care. Main responsibilities also include advising carers of national and local services; facilitating liaison between carers and professionals; and developing relationships with other professionals.
There will also be the opportunity with this role to provide information and advice to carers and professionals at annual events.
