An opportunity to show leadership and great responsibility as Chief of Fire Services for a large International Airport in Saudi Arabia is available for all qualified to apply.
The right candidate will be responsible for the following:
Plans, organises the deployment of equipment and personnel
to handle emergency situations, both aircraft and structural.
1.Develops
Fire Services procedures and methods of operation.
2.Responsible
for Aircraft and Structural Fire/Rescue Operations at the Airport.
3.Conducts
inspections of personnel and facilities to assess needs and operational
readiness on site.
4.Develops
Fire/Rescue emergency response plans and procedures and updates from time to
including aircraft and structural pre-fire plans.
5.Coordinates
Fire/Rescue plans with other agencies that are involved with Airport emergency
operations.Participates in developing
Airport Disaster Operations plan.
6.Controls
the deployment and efficient use of equipment and personnel during emergency
situations.
7.Reviews
reports of fire-related emergencies and accidents and makes recommendations for
preventative action.
8.Prepares
comprehensive plans for handling of extra aircraft traffic and high volume of
passengers during special operations.
9.Direct
movement of paramedic service and ambulances in operational emergency
situations.
10.Assist
the Airport management personnel to prepare and administer the Fire Services
Fiscal Budget.
11.Requisitions
and authorises the issuance of materials, supplies, and consumable items for
the day-to-day operational use.
12.Performs
other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
Shall have completed courses in and be qualified to N.F.P.A
– 1021, Officer Level IV, Shall also be qualified to N.F.P.A – 1031 Level II in
Fire inspection, Fire Prevention Education Officer N.F.P.A – 1041 Fire
Instructor Level II and N.F.P.A – 1003 Airport Fire-fighter.
Twenty (20) years experience in Fire/Rescue services
including fifteen (15) years in a supervisory position.At least two (2) of the last five (5) years
must have been in equivalent position at a category nine (9) airport.
