Our client is currently looking for an Allegations Manager to act as the lead local authority designated officer in all matters related to establishing and improving the structures and processes in relation to allegations made against those that work with children.
You will be responsible for:
-Chairing strategy meetings in relation to allegations against staff within the children;s workforce.
-Contributing to the objective of embedding safe practise into performance, behaviour and culture.
- Ensuring that the Authority fulfils its obligations under Working Together 2006, The Education Act 2002, and Safeguarding Children and Safer Recruitment in Education Chapter 5 2006, specifically in relation to the management of allegations of abuse made against staff and volunteers across all services within the county.
-Advising elevant senior managers on policy and operational matters related to allegations against staff.
To apply for this position you will need:
A degree in a relevant subject ot equivalent
Professional qualification in a social work, education or related field
Valid GSCC or GTC registration
..along with demonstrable and sound knowledge of child protection and safeguarding legislation.
