Are you a future IT Software Developer?

Unique job opportunity to undertake a Software Developer Apprenticeship with a Local Software business and the UK’s leading IT training company.

We are looking for candidates to have an understanding of technology and an enthusiasm for how it supports business.

To thrive in this environment you will need to be an analytical thinker, enjoy solving puzzles/ problems, have an eye for detail and be enthusiastic about delivering high quality work. You will also need to have excellent communication skills as a great deal of development is carried out in conjunction with the client in a workshop environment. You need to be structured in your approach, and have a strong desire to develop yourself and the self motivation to attain your career goals.

However it’s not just your academic results we’re interested in; we also want to hear about the skills you have picked up through relevant work experience, travel or positions of responsibility in or outside school. We are a Global IT business and you will be required at times to travel to customer sites for assignment to a project.

With this in mind, we prefer that you have or are aiming towards your driver’s licence, and that your mindset is one of embracing travel opportunities.

It is often the case that system upgrade activities take place at unsociable times. Whilst this is not always the case, it is a characteristic of our industry and flexibility on your part is expected once your training period has completed and you are assigned to client duties.

About the Apprenticeship

This is a 'Work-Based Learning’ apprenticeship with a Software company in your area, although at times you will be required to stay at a central academy location as you study towards industry recognised qualifications, whilst earning an initial salary of £150 per week!QA have a variety of partner companies ready to recruit software developer apprentices and support them through a 12 month programme that will commence in February 2012 leading to a career using C# and .NET technology to create web applications and Windows forms. At the end of the programme apprentices will be eligible to apply for a permanent position.
