Capital IQ, a division of Standard & Poor’s and a subsidiary of McGraw-Hill, is currently recruiting for Research Associates to join our London team
We are looking for Research Associates to cover Arabic speaking markets for the London, CanaryWharf office. Working as part of a regional team, you will have direct responsibility for the coverage of the local private equity market. In addition, you will participate in time-sensitive projects, data quality-assurance and collaborative initiatives with colleagues across offices.
Your main responsibilities will include:
oIdentifying relevant information on deal-activity and the buy/sell-side entities involved.
oMaintaining regional investment firm profiles through primary (direct contact) and secondary (web-based) research.
oWorking with colleagues across multiple locations, to address market specific queries.
oQuality control of regional market data.
oParticipating in and developing projects and processes focusing on data-integrity and workflow solutions.
oMaintaining and developing relevant sources of information and direct contacts within your market.
Requirements:Fluency in Arabic, English and an additional language, preferably Turkish, Greek and Hebrew.
oA University graduate or at post-graduate level.
oAn inquisitive and investigative nature with a positive attitude and a strong interest in research.
oA good communicator, with excellent written and spoken skills, and a confident telephone manner.
oAble to work to ambitious productivity goals.
oComputer literate with working knowledge of MS Office and ability to work easily with new software.
oYou must not require a work permit or sponsorship to work in the UK.
oAs intensive training is provided, a financial background is not essential; however a keen interest in learning about the private capital markets and the global business environment is important.

The entry-level salary is competitive (circa GBP26K) with a substantial benefits package.
