The role of an Area HR Manager in Iceland is a true business partner role. Working with your business partners, you will develop and deliver HR plans to ensure that the commercial objectives are delivered. Make no mistake, it’s going to be tough, challenging and certainly not for the faint hearted. So you really will need to be an experienced, efficient commercial HR manager if you’re to make a tangible difference in our straight talking, no-nonsense culture.
Our back to basics approach and new store opening programme has been a phenomenal success and means that we are on track to continue to deliver further growth. But we’ll only achieve our ambitious aims through our people. And that means you’ll need to be equally ambitious and passionate about developing people, challenging the status quo and getting even the most sceptical on board as you define, develop and deliver the practical solutions that will complement our plans perfectly.
These roles will demand the strongest generalist expertise gained in a commercial environment – if you’re not already CIPD qualified, we’ll sponsor you to achieve that goal. Whilst you’ll enjoy the autonomy to shape and cascade our HR strategy, making bottom line impact as you do, you’ll also be responsible for turning issues around and delivering positive results.
