WANTED:
Area Manager to deliver services for older people in East Birmingham
·Do you have experience of providing advice and information to others?
·Do you have knowledge of current welfare benefits?
·Can you act as a link between older people and other bodies such as health & social care professionals, statutory organisations and utility providers, to enable older people to get the most out of life?
·Do you want to support and supervise volunteers and assist with the management of a small office based in Sutton Coldfield?
·Can you network with other local voluntary and statutory organisations in East Birmingham to establish services for older people
Age Concern Birmingham is the largest charity providing care and support to people over the age of 50 years across the city of Birmingham.
It does this through a wide variety of services and projects that promote and encourage older people to maintain their independence, empower them to make their own choices and actively involve them in planning their care packages. We also strive to reduce the social isolation experienced by some older people through encouraging socialisation and peer support.
What are we offering?

·Full time hours, permanent contract
·Annual leave entitlement of 20 days, rising in stages to a maximum of 25 days. Plus entitlement to all 8 public holidays and 4 further fixed concessionary days.
