Assistant Accountant

A leading, global Engineering organisation is looking for an Assistant Accountant for its site in Leeds. With an outstanding reputation for development and progression this market leading business is performing ahead of expectations despite market conditions. Dealing with Operations managers this role will give the successful candidate great exposure to non finance personnel. You will have responsibility supporting the Finance Manager in producing Monthly Management Accounts and Annual Accounts. You will also be involved with some project work as well. This role will play a pivotal part in the continued success of the organisation and you will receive genuine opportunities to progress your career from this position.
You will:
*Be part qualified CIMA/ACCA.
*Be ambitious, willing to learn and want to progress
*Have previous experience working in a manufacturing organisation with some exposure to project work.
*Have strong Accounting knowledge and be able to demonstrate having worked independently.
*Have strong IT skills with particular emphasis on SAP/Excel.
