Wonderful opportunity to take on a role as Assistant Director in Technology for this expanding college based in North London. There is a real passion drive and commitment to ensure their next Ousted report is "Good" as opposed to the current status of "satisfactory".
The curriculum is organised into divisions managed by Assistant Directors. This structure ensures cross-college team work for sharing of best practice and ensuring consistency of approach to common provision.
Main Purpose of the Job
To lead and manage the defined division in line with the College Strategic Plan and College policies.
To provide effective organisation and management of staff to ensure that learners studying within the division have a high quality learning experience.
Leadership and Management
Develop the work of the Division within the context of College policy and strategic plans, to meet the needs of learners, employers and the community.
Contribute to the development and successful implementation of the College's curriculum and quality plans.
Monitor and develop the quality and effectiveness of teaching and standards of performance within the Division
Lead external liaison with schools, universities, employers, the community and other partners in relation to all curriculum planning and delivery
Lead and manage the staff to ensure a high standard of teaching and learning
Nurture and develop innovation within course teams and encourage radical approaches to the way the Division operates.

Learner Voice
Oversee the arrangements for the selection and admissions of learners to programmes
Ensure that all learners on programmes receive the full range of support to which they are entitled ie induction, tutorial support etc
Ensure the effective discipline and management of students
