Job Role

This exciting opportunity within the Fund Management department of the Methodist Church offers a seasoned accountant an excellent opportunity in what is a challenging and interesting role. Reporting into the Director of Financial Operations the main purpose of the role is to control the Church`s central funds.
Key responsibilities will include:


- Generating analytical and statistical reports on emerging patterns and highlight trends for the Senior Management Team.

- Managing the financial and treasury management aspects of the Methodist Church`s central funds ensuring liquidity, solvency and prompt investment of surplus money.

- Reviewing all project fund accounts.

- Servicing the work of the Investment Management and Forces Board
Due to the demanding workload of this post and the additional responsibilities the Methodist Church is looking for a CCAB qualified accountant or seasoned part-qualified accountant. You must possess an impressive track record in controlling income and managing investments, savings and grants. Although ideal, it is not essential to have a background in charity accounting, so candidates from the commercial world are also invited to apply. Having a knowledge of Sun accounts would be desirable but being able to work with complex analytical data through Excel is an absolute must. You will maintain professional working relationships and communicate effectively within the business and posses excellent customer service skills.
