A part-qualified Accountant is required by Cummins to join as an Assistant Financial Accountant. Dedicated to building and sustaining a world class enterprise, that sets the standard on an international basis, Cummins Power Generation in Ramsgate, Kent is part of a global power systems business, operating at the forefront of new applications in continuous power generation. We are looking for an experienced Assistant Financial Accountant to further compliment our highly skilled Finance team and assist in maintaining the integrity of the site’s Financial Accounts for 4 legal entities
We are seeking an Assistant Financial Accountant to join the finance team. Duties include:
• Responsible for the maintenance of select accounts and related reporting
• Complete all assigned monthly General Ledger reconciliations
• Learn about various processes, understand and ensure compliance with relevant controls
• Learn about and provide support for cash books, fixed assets, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Assist in some monthly financial analysis, reporting and in preparation of annual Statutory Accounts
• Consistently deliver financial results and analysis
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
The Assistant Financial Accountant should have demonstrable post graduate/AAT experience particularly in financial analysis and/or operations accounting. You should also ideally be studying towards CIMA/ACCA and the organization will fully support further study as part of your ongoing career development. You should also be able to demonstrate a desire to progress and succeed, be able to work as part of a team and work both independently and be highly computer literate, particularly in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
