My client is a large, well-established organization based in CountyDurham.
JOB
An opportunity has arisen for an exceptional candidate to join the Health and Safety Department. Reporting to the Company’s Health and Safety Manager, you will provide a high level of professional H&S expertise and advice to all areas of the business to enable compliance with H&S policies whilst continuing to improve the health and safety performance and culture.
Your main roles and responsibilities will include;
-Ensuring that the strategies, policies and procedures are developed and implemented.
-Implementation of its health and safety management system.
-Site inspections.
-Accident investigations and specialised risk assessments in line with agreed targets and delivery of specific H&S projects.
-Managing a small team of experienced health and safety practitioners.
CANDIDATE
You should possess a H&S qualification such as NEBOSH and or a degree (or equivalent qualification) in a Management related subject, you will be a proven Manager and have a sound understanding of relevant H&S legislation along with comprehensive risk management expertise. With strong decision making and organisational skills, you will be highly motivated, work well under pressure, be ambitious and eager to develop yourself.You will be confident dealing with senior people and have excellent communication skills. A driving licence is also required for the role.
SALARY - Up to £39,000 + Benefits
