The Role:
David Young Community Academy are currently looking for an Assistant ICT Manager. This is a hands on technical role where you will play a major part in the continued development of ICT service provision across the institution. The successful Assistant ICT Manager will have hands on 3rd line support experience with a proven track record of successfully implementing ICT projects.
You will be responsible for providing 2nd / 3rd line technical support and leading the development of technical ICT solutions to complex problems. You must have experience in providing technical documentation, disaster recovery, managing and supporting Windows desktop and server systems and managed network environments. Experience within the education sector would be highly advantageous but is not essential. You will have working knowledge of wireless technologies, IT security and current web technologies. Experience with Share Point would be highly desirable.
This role will see you working closely alongside the ICT Manager supporting the ICT strategy along with team leading responsibilities offering support, mentoring and training to other members of the technical support team. You will proactively drive systems development by keeping up to date with cutting edge technologies. Formal accreditations such as MCSE, MCSA, CCNA, ITIL or other relevant ICT qualifications are desirable.
