Our client has been providing a complete range of quality clothing for men of all ages since 1973. Their flagship store in Glasgow is the largest single menswear store in the world as accredited by the Guinness Book of Records. All their stores are extremely large so that they can offer the very largest selection of clothing you will find anywhere.
They looking for an Assistant Merchandiser to join their successful team, based in Glasgow.
You will currently be an allocator/ assistant merchandiser, ideally specialising in menswear, within a volume retailer.
Job Description
- To set appropriate controls to determine the replenishment levels of each line to all branches on a weekly basis.
- Controls should be manipulated to give the most effective distribution of stock, taking account of sales history, stock availability and future trends, in order to maximise sales.
- To create and maintain a Distribution Plan for all lines bought within each Product Group.
- To manage the allocation of stock to branches taking account of estimated rates of sale and store format.
- To create stock builds for new and refitted branches in accordance with plans.
- To monitor the performance and stock levels of new and refitted branches and to make adjustments where appropriate.
- To recall stock from branches in order to redirect to better performing stores according to the agreed weekly schedule.
- To analyse individual store performance and to take appropriate action, where necessary, in order to maximise sales.
- Assisting the Merchandise Manager, in working with the buying teams to accurately forecast trends, plan stock levels and monitor performance.
