A prestigious local operation is looking for an Assistant Reservations Manager offering a competitive salary of £19,000 pa. Successful candidate must have previous Reservations Supervisory experience.
Hours - 5 out of 7 days including weekends - hours of work 40 per week between 8am and 8pm on shift basis.
MAIN OBJECTIVES & JOB ROLE:
· Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the reservations department by defining, documenting and delivering a professional reservations service
· Recruit, coach and develop team to ensure a welcoming and efficient reservation service to existing and new clients is provided at all times
· Keep the Revenue Manager informed through regular reports and updates on variances to performance targets with supporting reasons and recommended solutions
MAIN AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
· Responsible for the reservations team supervisor and reservations agents
· To achieve sales and service targets including direct calls handled %, mystery shop and revenue within costs budgets
· The accuracy and productivity of the reservations team and use of PMS
· Work with the Business Development Manager, Revenue Manager, Director of Sales and Marketing and Reception Manager to ensure joined up thinking and best outcomes for the business
· Implementing company policies with regard to confirmations, contracting, deposits and internal information distribution
· The welfare of the team in terms of holidays, training, personal development and morale
SALES:
· Implement sales strategy as set and discussed with the Revenue Manager
· Be fully aware of budgeted revenue targets for the year, forecasts, sales and marketing plan.
· Identify potential areas of revenue increase and submit proposals to Revenue Manager.
· Implement new ideas to increase revenue once approved by Revenue Manager
· Review prices against competitors and be aware of competitor’s activity.
· Ensure upselling. Incentivise staff where required.
· Any other duties as specified by Management.
RELEVANT QUALIFICATIONS:
- Reservations sales experience in four star property
- Previous supervisory experience
