Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive (GMPTE) is responsible for the development of high quality integrated transport services across Greater Manchester and to safely facilitate the 265 million annual passenger journeys across Greater Manchester. It’s the largest regional economy outside London and has a complex and changing stakeholder environment. Following the formation of the new Bus/Rail Directorate, we are looking to develop a new Bus Performance Department with the primary focus to work in partnership with bus operators and local authorities. The team will be responsible for managing contracts up to the value of £35m, influencing commercial service performance through the development and management of Quality Partnership Schemes, work with Local Authorities to influence development of schemes to benefit buses, act in a client capacity for on-highway bus priority/traffic management and most importantly evaluate the outcomes of the investment from a customer perspective.
