Our client, a leading distributor of perfumes and cosmetics are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Wholesale Branch Manager to support the Wholesale Branch Manager to run the branch efficiently and effectively in order to meet sales targets, achieve the best in customer care service and to create a happy and secure workplace.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
To achieve set sales targets.
To generate new business by creating sales opportunities in order to achieve and improve upon sales targets, this includes exclusive line products.
To know your market, existing and potential customers, and the activities of your competitors.
When required to actively go out calling on existing and new customers, and report on these activities.
To put forward ideas and opinions which will improve the business and overall sales.
To promote the Privilege Points scheme.
Overall to lead by example.
To manage the staff on a day-to-day basis ensuring they are motivated and efficient.
To carry out staff training and induction.
To ensure that all staff answers the telephone within Company guidelines.
To encourage all staff to input ideas and suggestions to enhance the working environment, improve sales and improve their own skills.
To communicate relevant issues with the Branch Manager.
To ensure customers receive the highest level of service and care at all times.
To ensure all staff understand and practice the Customer Care policy.
The Assistant Wholesale Branch Manager will carry out the following tasks:
Security of premises
Till procedures and maintenance
Banking procedures
Goods-in procedures
Stock transfer procedures
HQ branch procedures
Staff issues
Meeting with sales representatives
To ensure all staff are aware of any new promotions, products, special events and training activities within the branch.
To ensure all staff understand customer and staff incentive schemes.
To offer opinions, suggestions in all aspects of managing the cash and carry and its staff.
To ensure all merchandising/displays/stock/shelves are clean and tidy in accordance with Company standards and stock rotation is always carried out.
To ensure all stock coding and pricing are correct.
