The Banking and Capital Markets (B&CM) division in London is a Market Leader in the UK in audit and other professional services. B&CM service some of the largest UK and International Financial Services organisations.

We provide assurance services to a broad range of clients including:

  • Investment Banks Retail Banks.
  • Mortgage lenders.
  • Brokers and dealers.
  • Exchanges.
  • Regulators and other financial intermediaries.

We provide these services through skilled industry focused Assurance staff and Technical and Regulatory specialists.

The Client Account Associate (CAA) is a chargeable role supporting the key B&CM client teams in managing all aspects client work. The CAA acts as a conduit, communicating and coordinating best practice activities for the team, maintaining professional working relationships in the team, support and operations team and central functions. This role is working in B&CM and is based in Hays Galleria Place and will be a fixed term contract for 6 months.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities will include: Proposal or Pitch:
  • Managing the teams pipeline of work.
  • Working with the secretarial team to ensure all opportunities are recorded and wins inputed on relevant systems.
  • Managing the overall integrity and accuracy of pipeline/wins data (Some analysis of the data may be required).
  • Liaise with job controllers where necessary to compile project planning / budget.
Engagement management - Ensuring the administrative tasks relating to engagements are completed:
  • Close liaison with the finance and risk management functions.
  • Pipeline management.
  • Setting up job codes within PwC's financial system.
  • Working capital management ? liaison with job managers and engagement Partners to ensure:
- Compilation of billing and cash commitment schedules monthly. - Correct valuation of wip. - Billing schedules adhered to and coordination and preparation of bills to clients. - Zero billing codes when appropriate. - Monitoring of cash receipts and debtors. - SME providing advice to team on aspects of engagement financial management. - BART (Budgeting and Resourcing Tool): monitoring and uploading of budgets

Requirements
  • Prior work experience (ideally from an administrative / analytical background within a corporate or professional services environment) with experience of analysing financial or statistical data.
  • Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent, including GCSE Maths and English at grade B and above.
  • Team player, able to communicate confidently and professionally with people at all levels, and build relationships with PwC staff and clients, be able to operate within a Partnership culture.
  • Proficient in the use of Lotus Notes and relevant databases, intranets, internet, other external media.
  • Proven IT skills in Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Numerate and analytical with strong attention to detail.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • Proven reliability in customer service and problem solving skills.
  • Proactive, self-motivated and able to take responsibility for own work.
  • Some flexibility with regard to hours (occasional overtime may be required).
  • Interest in self development.
