Introduction:
My client is a leading helicopter charter company. Operating throughout the UK, they provide professional dedicated services including flight training, aerial photography, surveying and airborne emergency services capability. In support of a fleet of 10 aircraft they now have a requirement for a B2 (Avionics) Licensed Helicopter Engineer to be based out of Norwich Airport.
In return the successful candidate will be joining an established, dynamic and expanding company in an exciting environment.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Chief Engineer you will be responsible for the following activities;
- Undertake Avionics maintenance tasks as directed by the Chief Engineer.
- Undertake the installation, commissioning and modification of avionics systems.
- Carry out independent inspections.
- Determine the level of flight servicing after maintenance.
- Flight line operations.
- Conduct scheduled servicing and corrective maintenance on a varied fleet of helicopters.
- Supervision of Junior Technicians.
- Operation and maintenance of ground support equipment.
- Preparation of aircraft for flight and security of aircraft after flight.
Applicant Requirements:
- Part 66 B2 Avionics Licence
- Strong commercial experience of rotary wing avionic flight line operations
- Experience or Type Ratings on Bell or Eurocopter aircraft would be seen as a distinct advantage
- Flexible approach to working outside of trade group (Cross Trading) in order to assist other engineers
- "Work Hard, Play Hard" approach with a positive "Can Do" attitude.
- Willingness to undergo continuous professional development
Although not essential, candidates with a military technical aviation background at Senior Corporal or Senior NCO level are strongly encouraged to apply.
