Full Description: A global company supplying BSS services to major telecom companies are seeking a BI Lead Developer and Support for their Woking site in Surrey.
Main responsibilities:
The highlights of this position are: TM1 development and support of multi cube structures and processes with 7Gb of Financial and Project data.
Financial and Project Forecasting Models
Revenue Forecasting
Project Forecasting
Cost Centre Forecasting
Profit and Loss Forecasting
Budget / Plannin g Models
Financial and Management Reporting
Board reporting
Time analysis data and reports
Master data updates; Master data management
Building analysis models within Excel linked into TM1 (training supplied) model.
Supporting Finance with adhoc analysis
SAP Connector support and development – SAP BW to TM1 application.
Ongoing analysis of BI to recommend improvements and efficiencies through existing applications or recommending new applications.
Business Objects is undergoing evaluation for our BI reporting tool. As users are given more reports and are shown the capability of BI systems improved reporting and more automation is required.
Supporting the TM1 user base, training in existing and newly developed models and processes, training basic TM1 functionality and developing educational documentation.
Contribution and participation in IT enhancement and new rollout projects as required or when added value can be given
Adhoc tasks and projects, as appropriate
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
TM1 Development experience (2 years+). SAP Business Objects would be an advantage Qualified or part qualified accountant Advanced Excel including macro / VBA development Business and financial knowledge – ability to turn problems into requirements then to solutions Analytical approach to data and its manipulation. Process improvement around an integrated systems environment Business knowledge – common sense approach to business processes. 3 years plus experience will be considered. Good communicator – verbal, written. Comfortable to train end users around the world using various methods Self motivated – able to work remotely under own initiative. Team player
Occasional Travel is required in this role (processes within a global company)
