BMS Commissioning Engineer - Trend - TAC - Cylon - York
To assist with the current growth demands, our client is looking for additional service engineering resource. The role will be part of an initially small team, and will help set up the templates, processes and culture for the expansion over the coming years. The individual should be proactive, diligent and someone who brings fresh ideas to our client.
Responsibilities
Understand Building Management Systems for both HVAC and Access Control.
Attend and successfully complete scheduled planned preventative maintenance calls and reporting of same
Attend, emergency call-outs on-site as required
Engineer and commission small projects within the Service Division remit
Provide technical solutions for customers with breakdowns
Good planning and implementation of workload ensuring time is used effectively
On-site quotations as required following customer requests
Working with the service team to develop the service division
Seeking opportunities for feedback and improvement and participation actively in service processes
Create the necessary reports, timesheets and accounts forms following works completed
Attend training courses where deemed necessary
Goals

Listen to customer's needs and translate these into proposals for new business that can be understood at all necessary levels
Listen to customer's needs and achieve engineering solutions that maximise the value for money received by the customer during any customer visit
Understand and collaborate with other internal staff
Convey a smart, professional appearance and manner that enhances the reputation of our client in the eyes of the customer
Experience
Training and working knowledge of at least two BMS systems, one of which would preferable be Trend Controls.
Systems Knowledge of,
TAC - YORK - CYLON - JOHNSON
Understand HVAC applications and associated plant
Understand IT and PC applications and associated windows software
Experience around electrical installation and motor control panel manufacture
Experienced in working with clients on a collaborative basis to find cost effective installation solutions
Prior record of being part of a small engineering team
Familiarity with security systems is desirable but not a key requirement
Qualifications
Prior experience as BMS Commissioning engineer with training certification in at least one BMS control product
CSCS Skills card
