BACKGROUND
One of the world's leading providers of independent credit ratings, investment research, data and valuations is seeking a Business Analyst to provide strategic business analysis services to business partners in the company’s Structured Finance area. The focus of this position will be the development of requirements specifications in support of company initiatives and projects.
MAIN TASKS
> Respond to requests from staff across all areas of the Structured Finance business to provide business analysis, including data collection, data analysis and classification, transactional and workflow analysis.
> Develop internal workflow redesign through systems, new procedures and product design, including the user interface aspect and the development of rules-based analysis for new or existing products
> Analyse and design business solutions, by preparing functional specifications
> Test products from an end-user perspective and create training materials and support documentation
> Develop processes that will be positively impact the company’s reputation, customer experience and competitive position
> Use tools, processes and methodologies such as SharePoint (PINE), Mercury or other manual methods to initiate, plan, execute, control and close out projects through the Project Life Cycle (PLC) and Business Analysis Life Cycle (BALC)
> Follow-through on requests to revise, update, create or maintain deliverables as defined by the project team
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
# Business Analysis experience in Structured Finance gained in a financial services institution or management/IT consulting environment
# Highly developed reporting skills
# Full project lifecycle experience – SDLC using Agile/Scrum development methodology
# Experience of workflow redesign and the development of rules-based analysis for new or existing products
# Able to work in global, multi-cultural environment
# Able to manage multiple requests and prioritize work efforts and deliver high-quality results in a consistent manner
# Creative, results driven, self-motivated, and solutions oriented
DESIRABLE (not essential) SKILLS
~ Knowledge of Asset Classes – RMBS, CDO, ABS, CMBS
