Operating within our new in-house photographic studio based in Daventry, the successful candidate will be responsible for the photography displayed throughout our retail trading website. The role is accountable for both capturing and editing photography. We aim to achieve a consistent experience for all of our online customers by ensuring that not only is our photography artistic, but also 100% accurate. The successful candidate will be primarily based at our studio in Daventry, Northamptonshire. However, there will be occasions when images are required from our retail stores located throughout the country.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare products before photoshoot to ensure that they are shot in the best possible condition and ensure appropriate management and storage of samples post production.
- Using Digital SLR Cameras with both consistent and flash lighting, capture images of products from our online range
- Use Adobe Photoshop to colour correct, crop and edit photography to ensure all online images are of a superior quality and are 100% accurate.
- Work within standard photography techniques while experimenting with new product categories.
- Upload finished images onto website server and document the categorisation of the images accurately.
- Develop innovative ideas for optimising production speed and efficiency.
- Liaising with Commercial Team / Vendors to source product samples where appropriate.
Key Requirements
- Expert user of Adobe Photoshop
- Expert user of Digital SLR Camera technology
- Experience within e-commerce or catalogue photography
- A proactive learner who is aware of new technologies/practices and is always looking to improve their own understanding a skill set
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
- A Levels/Degree or equivalent experience within a creative subject such as Media or Art
- Creative approach to product photography
- Commercially focused
- Will work flexible hours to meet the operational needs of the business
- Be able to work to tight deadlines within dynamic and fast environment
