The successful candidate will be responsible for continually improving the bidding process and ensuring best practice is being adopted. This role reports to the Operations Director.
Key Accountabilities include:
Managing bid programme with all functional controls (NRA, financial clearance, business case)
Ensuring bids address best value and effective use of value creation in used.
Providing training for bid team, developing processes and ensuring they are followed
Promoting supply chain, ensuring resources are best used and transferring knowledge across bid centres
Reviewing bidding processes and altering to reflect current business strategy, integrating design into bids
Skills and Capabilities
This role requires:
Extensive knowledge of bid process and management
Knowledge of the construction industry
Knowledge of best practice
Good strategic vision and the ability to decipher the Client's commercial needs quickly
Strong commercial acumen and organisational skills that enable the bid process to be a well coordinated and a timely process.
Understanding of the competitive dialogue process
Experience with high value complex projects
Skills in project management
Exceptional interpersonal, client management and presentation skills to board level
Qualifications CIOB or RICS preferable
