BID MANAGER
Our client are looking to recruit an experienced Bid Manager who will contribute to the development of pipeline opportunities in conjunction with the Business Development Team. This person will take on responsibility for tendering of Public/PPP/PFI and Private contracts, formulating and agreeing costs, method statements and contract provisions, from receipt of tender, to bid submission and on to contract close. This will include projects throughout the UK. The role will also include development of the overall bid strategy and development from PPQ stage through to final negotiation and for seamless handover to Transition Management post contract award.
Main Duties;
- To contribute to the growth of the business through developing client relations and bidding new works
- To manage own workload and that of the wider bidding and support team on relevant bids
- Take part in meetings with Senior Business Development Team
- To communicate with supply chain during bid process
- Manage specific opportunities from PQQ stage through to Contract Award. Driving sales and bid strategy.
- Making recommendations to the Senior Team for improvements in business development policies.
- Seeking opportunities to expand work with existing clients/contacts
Required skills / experience;
- Ideally qualified to degree level
- Candidates should have 5 years experience in a similar role, particularly dealing with public sector projects.
- Proven experience of growing a business and developing strong internal and external relationships is essential.
- Assertive / persuasive personality with a strong work ethic and commitment
- Tenacious with the ability to achieve targets and make things happen
The company are offering a basic salary of £40k + car + mobile + pension
