The Role: Bid Manager
Location: South Wales
Salary: £40 - £50k p/a plus benefits
The Role
The Bid Manager will work directly with senior members of the Campaign, either at manager or director level to lead, manage and deliver winning proposals.
The Bid Manager will be expected to provide leadership to and manage all bid team members; scoping deliverables and timescales, driving and training bidding best practice; leading corporate governance activities and solely responsible for ensuring high quality bids are delivered to the customer on time and to approved bid budget.
The Bid Manager will manage the successful completion of the early stages of the project process from requirements through to sign off. This will include negotiating, assigning and committing suitable project and technical resource to bids and to control costs.
The Bid Manager will advise Account Project Managers and Sales teams on professional bidding practice, mentoring and championing professional bidding across the business.
The Bid manager will be working with business areas in France and Germany to define, develop and implement the bid and win the contract processes.
The Candidate
*Significant bid management experience in communications, IT or engineering design, development and implementation projects
*Significant bid management experience including programmes to £10m+
*Experience in managing subcontract relationships
*Experience in working in export markets
*Experience in managing multi-skilled bid teams and multi-company bids
*Ideally Degree qualified
*Formal qualification in bid management - desirable (APMP preferred) S
*Shipley trained - Managing Winning Proposals, Writing Winning Proposals, Effective Reviewing
