Our client is a leading training company who are looking to recruit a talented Bid Writer to join their Sheffield team.
The Role:
The main purpose of the role will be to research and identify commercial opportunities in line with the Company
Business Plan.
The role will also entail gathering essential bid information and incorporating them into a successful bid submission with appropriate regard for safety, health, quality and the environment.
Key to this role will be to understand the customer needs, the labour market and
geographical/demographical area.
Duties:
* Research and identify commercial tender opportunities in line with the companies Business Plan.
* Assess tenders against critical success factors .
* Gather, research and co-ordinate bid information from the customer, client, labour market,
geographical/demographical area, financial modelling, operational & policies/procedures teams.
* Prepare and submit PQQ (Pre-Qualification Questionnaire) and ITT (Invitation to Tender)
documentation specific to the client and in line with stipulated requirements.
* Write method statements and proposals.
* Create executive summaries
* Co-ordinate responses to clarify questions.
* Prepare and deliver presentations to the customer (at Board & Senior Management level) as and
when required.
* Attend customer meetings as and when required
* Develop a bid library.
* Attend PR & marketing exhibitions to drive enquiries and sales.
* Evaluate unsuccessful bids and implement necessary changes/improvements.
* Co-ordinate press releases and web information in line with Company guidelines
* Provide accurate and timely management information/reports to senior management,
customers and other external bodies/organisations, as and when required.
* Adhere to all company policies & procedures.
* Ensure a quality culture for continuous improvement, ensuring that the Company's Quality
Assurance systems are adhered to at all times.
* Attend meetings, seminars, forums, networking events and training sessions in pursuit of
continuous improvement and professional development.
* Travel to accommodate the needs of the business.
