COMPANY PROFILE:

The Company is a worldwide leading manufacturer within the healthcare and animal health sector with a turnover of 17billion euros, represented in well over 100 countries and in all major markets.
This brand new role in the animal health business will take responsibility for developing and delivering a marketing plan for the OTC retail and merchant channel in the UK. You will provide for the very first time a dedicated marketing resource for this channel and working closely with the key channel Sales Manager and also the Group Product Manager, you will help to develop the full potential with a range of existing and new branded products.

JOB SPECIFICATION:

The Brand manager / Channel manager will:

* Take OTC channel responsibility with a group of the company brands.
* Plan, co-ordinate and implement effective marketing plans across the full marketing mix; print, digital, direct, media, events, packaging within the non-vet channels.
* Devise launch plans for new products in the channel and manage life cycle.
* Plan and manage the promotional (P&I) budget for the channel.
* Develop the online business, building relationships with the Ecommerce customers.
* Work closely with the channel Sales Manager, Group Product manager and face-to-face with customers.
* Gain a god understanding of the data associated with the channel.
* Ensure high quality of customer service and communications to internal and external stake holders.

REQUIREMENTS:

The Brand manager / Channel manager should have:

* Strong consumer marketing experience with knowledge of the buying process in large multiple retailers.
* Experience of planning and implementing across the marketing mix.
* The ability to manage budget and the promotional calendar.
* Ecommerce or online/digital promotion experience.
* Excellent relationship building and strong communication skills.
* A desire to take responsibility.
