BUSINESS/ ACCOUNT MANAGER
DEFENCE MARINE - ENGINEERING CONSULTANCY
GLASGOW

We are seeking a Business/ Account Manager who will be responsible for managing and delivering the business development and project delivery aspects across a number of key Marine sectors or accounts. You will be the primary deliverer of business development activities and will be responsible for identifying opportunities and managing the response for both bid and project delivery.

The role of Business/ Account Manager will include working alongside the Marine Senior Business Executive to develop sector business management and development plans, providing support and information to the Projects Director to assist with the formation of sector budgets, assisting in defining the required staff resources for all business activities as well as identifying and progressing new business initiatives.

To succeed as Business/ Account Manager you should be qualified to degree level in engineering or other related fields with experience of working within the marine sector. You will ideally be experienced within a consultancy environment, in a role that has included a significant element of business development and may also have a technical background that is complementary to their skills base.

Experience of Defence acquisition in the Naval sector is essential, as is business development in a consultancy environment, commercial awareness and experience of bid management processes. You should also have a proven track record of successfully motivating technical teams.

You should be self motivated and outgoing and someone who enjoys building relationships with potential clients and managing internal teams to support business development and project delivery. An ability to motivate individuals from various parts of the organisation will be essential.

This role requires SC Clearance so you must be either a British Citizen who has been living in the UK for the last 3 years minimum or of another nationality who has been living in the UK continuously for the last 5 years minimum.
