WRVS is a major (£85 million) UK charity delivering services through volunteers to help older people to live active and independent lives. Those services make up a very diverse portfolio and are delivered throughout Great Britain.

Supporting the Head of Business Development and based in our Directorate for Older People’s Services, the key responsibilities of your role will be:

Coordination and Production of WRVS Standards, including:

  • Managing the practical aspects of the publication and distribution of the Standards throughout the organisation;
  • Monitoring, analysis and reporting on performance measures;
  • Supporting the achievement and retention of externally validated quality assurance systems.

Oversee the use of Performance Management across the Directorate, including:

  • Monitoring the use of performance management systems throughout the Directorate;
  • Developing the systems to contribute to a culture of continuous service improvement.

Business Case Preparation, including:

  • Conduct analysis to support in competitive tendering or good client relationship management activities;
  • Undertake ‘what if’ analysis in relation to potential new business opportunities.

Project Management, including:

  • Undertake a central project management control role within the Directorate;
  • Develop and maintain rigorous project management discipline from initial planning through to completion of the project.

A role such as this requires someone with previous experience in an information management role, who holds a relevant degree (statistical or business management related subject), has formal project management training and of course a good knowledge of data and statistical analysis methodologies.

Excellent communication and presentation skills are also key as you will need to be able to explain and present complex issues to a range of different groups and individuals. As an experienced professional you will of course be able to work under your own initiative, to demanding and often changing deadlines.
