Job Description :

To take responsibility for Business Banking across a cluster of Branches, driving the business forward through this channel to achieve agreed sales targets across the cluster through new business acquisition & existing customer cross sales, whilst delivering quality customer service and being the local subject matter expert for Branch staff.

Key Criteria:

Delivering Sales Results

Building Internal Relationships / Internal Training

• Actively develop Cluster Branch staff skills & knowledge in all Business Products, maximising Cluster sales & cross sale referrals

• Assist with achievement of Retail targets through the introduction of Business customers with personal requirements

• Be perceived as the Business banking “expert” by the Cluster staffCustomer Relationships

Proactively manage the new business & growth targets of the Cluster through to acquisition.

• Deliver a professional & enthusiastic reactive service to enquiries within the Cluster• Proactively find solutions to improve local Business Banking service to customers

• Take ownership for customer feedback working with colleagues to provide a seamless experience for customers, resolving complaints when appropriate

• Achieve all KPIs to ensure service levels met

• To be the Bank’s ambassador in the eyes of the local Cluster community, identifying and maximising business opportunitiesBusiness Development

• Develop strong internal relationships with Branch to maximise all sales opportunities through joint referrals etc

• With the local Cluster staff, actively develop new & maintain existing relationships with key local business influencers both internally & externally

• Generate quality referrals & cross sales through the interaction with colleaguesPersonal Development

Actively pursue personal development plan, including knowledge of local market and areas of specialist knowledge

• Take ownership for personal training & development needs, ensuring personal knowledge & skills develop in line with current & future business requirements

• Ensure minimum standards are met to maintain authorisations across product portfolio• Proactively share knowledge across the Business team and contribute to training wider areas of abbey as required

• Identify and implement opportunities to improve the Business processes and way of working

• Understand and support the development and implementation of theBusiness change plans

• Promote the profile of the Business team within the local market

• Identify & drive own personal career development needs through self analysis. Seek & act on feedback from others.Skills :

Sales

• Proven record of exceeding challenging business/sales targets and developing profitable customer relationships

• Ability to “ask for the business”

• Ability to take responsibility for own performance / self drive & accountabilityBuilding Relationships

• Ability to Coach branch staff to generate Business Banking leads

• Empathy / Local leadership & basic Sales Management across a Cluster of Branches

• Understanding of Branch procedures / products / targets
