Business Development / IT Sales Executive (French Speaking)

Our client is an established market leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of a range of embedded Smart Terminals. Their main clients are within the Healthcare, Retail, Education and Industrial markets, whose customers range from Technology Integrators to competent end users.

Position: Business Development Manager
Location: Redhill, Surrey
Salary: £24-26K basic OTE to £36K
Benefits: After completion of a probation period of 6 months; 5% pension on basic, Healthcare with AXA PPP, Denplan and 24 days holiday.

Our client will commence interviews at the end of November for the position to start at the beginning of 2010.

ROLE:
a) To actively and successfully develop and manage the current distribution network in France. Responsibilities to include:
b) To build positive working relationships with current Systems Integrators and Distributors, visiting these partners as required and carrying out any relevant reviews and/or quality checks.
c) To seek, capture and progress individual sales projects in the territories for which responsibility is held.
d) Create and be accountable for all client proposals, contracts and any further documentation. Responding to tenders and requests for information in a timely manner in line with Company procedure.
c) Interact effectively with other departments including the Customer Service and technical team when handing over campaigns ensuring you fully and correctly brief in all aspects of the sale.
d) To take responsibility for your own lead generation and appointment setting
e) Assist with and support relevant Company marketing activities such as exhibitions and product launches
f) Where necessary monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.
g) This role will require travel to France (and other French speaking countries for which responsibility is assigned) required. This is predicted to equate to 1-2 trips per month of 1-2 days duration each.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
a) Candidate must be fluent in written and oral French. (Interview process will include tests)
b) At least 2 years proven experience in Sales / Business Development role.
c) At least 2 years experience of working in an electronics manufacturing or distribution environment within a sales role, or prior to working in a sales role.
d) An interest in applying technical knowledge in the sales field.
